A documentary filmed over three years, 'The Tentmakers of Cairo' tells the story of Egypt's struggle with democracy through the lives of a community of artisans whose craft has remained largely unchanged since Pharaonic times.

The story spans the turbulent years, from Egypt’s 25th January 2011 revolution through to the June 2014 election of Abdel Fatah al Sisi as President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Filmed, Produced & Directed by Kim Beamish
