I had been waiting months for Hosam to invite me to his home so that I might be able to film him cooking the Tamaya and Foul he has always so proudly talked about. So when it turned out to be this Sunday I was excited and looking forward to what I knew would be a great meal, or breakfast at 1 O'clock in the afternoon. Hosam has talked to me a lot about cooking breakfast for his family on his day off so this was a great moment. Hosam's house is small, although no smaller than most Egyptian homes I have visited recently, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in view. The view from Hosam's home stretches out across all of Cairo and on a good day you can see the Pyramids. Yesterday was not one of those days but I could get glimpses of them in the distance.
